Why I Ran a Half Marathon at 60! And What Happened…

Seriously why did I do it?  OK so it is not my first race. It is actually my 5th! But I am running them faster now and suffering more afterwards.  The race before this one I did my fastest by far and got such a bad migraine… well let’s just say it wasn’t pretty!

This time I also pushed myself but took medicine and managed to get a smaller headache but still…

Why did I do it?  And what happened?

The answer is in this video that I made on the very day I ran my race. It is about 15 minutes long. Really listen to it and share with me your take away from it.

I ran this with you in mind, on behalf of us all and our greater visions!  Really I held the vision and the prayer that we should all be able to succeed in whatever purpose is calling us!

I did it because I will never give up! Because I believe in myself and in all of you! In the video I am raw and in the moment and sharing from my heart. Take time to listen and to share with me what you are committed to doing no matter what and how can I help you!

While I was thinking about why did I do this I was compelled to look over all my other races to see my times. So I went searching and here is what I found. I have gotten faster. When I started I did not even think I could run at all.

I guess my point is this. You CAN do it! Whatever it is you can do it and you do not have to do it alone.

Check this out! My races! My progress!
My very first race with HCE was the Portland Rock and Roll Half Marathon on
May 17th /2015 My time was 02:41:09 my pace 12:18
My 2nd was the Big Sur Race on Nov. 8th 2015 my time 2:28:53
April 10th 2016 Vernonia Half marathon time 2:19:34 Pace 10:40
Sept. 21st 2016 10K time 59.59 pace 9.30
Nov. 11th 2016 Santa Barbara Half Marathon time 2:09:21 Pace 9:49
June 4th 2017 Time 2:10:49 pace 9.59

So this is still progress as the last race I had to stop in the bathroom!
I am sharing this because sometimes we forget to track our gains and improvements and only look and what we haven’t done yet. Count your successes and your blessings!
Know that I am cheering you on and nudging you to never give up and to believe and KNOW you CAN do it! We can do it together!

Shabbat Shalom! Have a great weekend!

Much love and blessings!

Devorah

P.S. If you want to know how what I did can help you watch my video now! And feel free to share with me how I can help you move forward to follow your soul’s calling and live your true purpose!  Or even run a race!! Ha ha! Really!

    Dear Devorah,
THANK YOU for this video. I was very moved and inspired by your story, and I feel so connected with you now!
I will share with you that MY vision is to help promote World Peace, and to assist others to Awaken to their beloved I Am Presence! From now on, when I focus on all those other light-workers ‘out there’ who are on this journey with me, I will see YOUR face, and feel our connection.
    In Love, Light & Peace
